From a little girl's dream to a national movement.
IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS is a girls-led nonprofit organization empowering girls and young women to become leaders, innovators, and Digital Solution Builders.
Inspired by the dream of an eight-year-old girl who believed that girls could become innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers, we identify potential, build skills, and support girls in creating solutions that address real challenges in their communities.
Through leadership development, digital skills training, innovation challenges, mentorship, and community engagement, girls progress from dreamers to changemakers, turning ideas into action and impact.
Today, active across all 13 regions of Burkina Faso, that dream has become a national movement where hundreds of girls are building digital solutions for their communities every day.
A world where every girl has the opportunity, confidence, and skills to lead, innovate, and create lasting impact.
To equip girls and young women with the skills, confidence, leadership, and opportunities to become Digital Solution Builders who transform ideas into action, challenges into opportunities, and communities into places where everyone can thrive.
Girls are among the world's most powerful drivers of innovation, resilience, and positive change. Yet millions of girls still face barriers to education, technology, leadership, and economic participation.
In Burkina Faso, where more than half of the population is under the age of 18, the potential for girls to drive digital innovation and community transformation has never been greater. Yet too many girls continue to face barriers that limit their access to opportunities, skills, and leadership.
At IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS, we believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to discover her potential, develop her talents, and contribute to the future of her community. When girls gain access to STEM education, digital skills, leadership development, mentorship, and innovation opportunities, they do more than improve their own lives. They create solutions, inspire others, strengthen families, support local economies, and build more inclusive and resilient communities.
That is why we invest in girls. Not because they are beneficiaries of change, but because they are capable of creating it.
We see this every day through the work of our Digital Solution Builders. Across all 13 regions of Burkina Faso, girls and young women are transforming ideas into action, designing practical solutions, and reaching thousands of people in some of the country's most vulnerable communities.
Through our innovation pathway, girls progress from learners to leaders, from dreamers to changemakers, and from technology users to Digital Solution Builders who solve real community challenges.
Because when a girl gains knowledge, she transforms her future. When girls gain opportunities, they transform communities. And when a generation of girls is empowered to lead, they can transform a nation.
Equip a girl with skills. Trust her with leadership. Support her ideas.
And she will create change far beyond herself.
Across the world, communities face common challenges including digital exclusion, gender inequality, youth unemployment, and limited access to opportunities. IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS demonstrates that when girls are equipped with skills, leadership, and opportunities, they become powerful problem-solvers.
Our Innovation Pathway transforms girls from learners into Digital Solution Builders who identify challenges, mobilize local expertise, design practical solutions, and deliver measurable impact — a model that can inspire similar initiatives anywhere in the world.
By combining digital skills, leadership, community engagement, and real-world action, IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS offers a practical example of how girls-led innovation can contribute to more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous communities worldwide.
Local Solutions. Global Relevance. Lasting Impact.
Every challenge is an opportunity to create practical solutions that improve lives.
We empower girls to become confident leaders and changemakers.
Innovation thrives when everyone can learn, innovate, and succeed.
We design with communities and for communities, for lasting impact.
We strengthen the capacity of girls and communities to adapt and grow.
We act with honesty, transparency, and ethical, accountable leadership.
Lasting change happens through partnership across girls, families and institutions.
Every girl is a capable creator of change, not simply a beneficiary of it.

This photo was taken when Benicia Nancy Yipènè KINDA was just eight years old. At the time, IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS was not an organization, a project, or a movement. It was simply the dream of a curious young girl who loved mathematics, science, technology, and learning.
She enjoyed exploring ideas with classmates, asking questions, and imagining a future where girls could discover their talents, create solutions, and contribute to their communities through innovation. The name "IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS" already existed in her imagination, but she could never have imagined how far that dream would travel.
At that moment, there were no programs, no partners, no beneficiaries, and no movement. There was only a little girl who believed that girls deserved the opportunity to learn, create, innovate, and lead. The rest of the story was yet to be written.

As Benicia grew older, her passion for STEM evolved into something bigger. She began to envision a future where girls would not only learn technology but use it to solve problems, create opportunities, and improve the lives of others. Over time, one idea led to another, one activity inspired the next, and a childhood dream slowly became a mission.
Today, at sixteen years old, Benicia is the Founder and President of IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS, an officially recognized association and a growing national ecosystem empowering girls and young women across Burkina Faso. The pathway that girls follow today — from talent discovery through DIGIT PUGSADA, to leadership development through IMPACT BUILDERS, and community transformation through the Build4Care Innovation Lab — reflects the journey she experienced herself.
Her work has earned formal partnerships with government institutions, the endorsement of the World Bank GEMS initiative, and recognition on international platforms, demonstrating how a young girl's vision can inspire communities and mobilize institutions.
A girl discovers her potential. A dream becomes a vision. A vision becomes a movement.
When I was a little girl, I discovered that a simple idea has the power to change a life. Today, through IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS, I see that same power in the hundreds of girls and young women building solutions across Burkina Faso every day.
Everywhere I go, I meet girls with extraordinary talent, creativity, courage, and determination. Their ideas inspire me. What they often need is not potential, but opportunity. An opportunity to learn, to experiment, to innovate, and to believe that their voice matters. That is why IMPACT DIGIT GIRLS exists.
I think of Prisca, one of our Impact Builders, who trained 250 vulnerable and displaced women to market their products digitally. Through her leadership, those women gained more than new income opportunities. They regained confidence, visibility, and hope for the future. Every girl in our programs carries a story like hers, a story waiting to be written.
We are building more than skills. We are building confidence, leadership, and a generation of girls who see themselves not only as users of technology, but as creators of solutions. Through our innovation pathway, girls become Digital Solution Builders who transform ideas into action, challenges into opportunities, and communities into places where the most vulnerable are no longer left behind.
When girls are empowered to lead, communities move forward. The future is not something we wait for. Together, we can build it.
